• There are a few key items that you’ll need in order to get in to pegging: A strap-on harness, an appropriate sex toy (or a few), and lubricant.
• The harness should be appropriate to your body, the type of pegging you want, and your own preferences. There are harnesses in the style of underwear, harnesses that accommodate penises, harnesses that  allow for bullets, and many more! Don’t be afraid to shop around.
• As for the sex toy, you’ll need something with a flared base – not just because it’s anal-friendly but also because the toy will need to be secured in to a harness via this base. If using a harness with an O-Ring you’ll need to factor in the diameter of the toy too and find a ring that accommodates it.
• The toy itself should be non-porous and body-safe, with silicone being the best choice. If neither of you have engaged in pegging before then it’s sensible to either start small or train to take the size of the toy that you’d like.
• As for the lubricant, water-based works best with silicone toys. Just make sure that it’s categorised as ‘anal’ or ‘anal friendly’ lubricant if you plan on engaging in anal penetration (the most common form of pegging).
• Pegging can be daunting at first but get the equipment and support right and you should be okay. Use lots of lubricant, take it slowly, and start pegging in a gentle manner. Having a safe word for speeding up and/or slowing down might also be useful for those with additional nerves.

What Are The Key Benefits?

• Pegging has held long-standing appeal among heterosexual relationships because it changes the usual dynamic of who is getting penetrated.
• This can come with a very different mental aspect too, and perhaps even a degree of roleplay, which empowers both people by offering them the space to explore new roles.
